The new CD “Dreams, Thoughts & Poetry” is dedicated to the music of the Italian master pianist and composer Enrico Pieranunzi. The Dutch double bassist/composer Jasper Somsen initiated this CD production and founded a brand new quintet for the performance and recording of it.

The album consists of seven compositions by Enrico Pieranunzi, one by Ennio Morricone (also recorded by Pieranunzi) and an original composition by Jasper Somsen, which clearly reflects his admiration for the compositions and performances of this Italian pianist.
